About the project

Tea brand «Solnyshko» produces herbal preparations and soothing tea for babies. The company conducted a survey and realized that the soothing tea collection «Malyutka» is bought by many consumers without children.

According to the results of a deeper study, it turned out that the fennel, chamomile, thyme and mint that are part of the collection help to fall asleep. The aroma of the drink reminds people of grand-mother’s decoctions. This is a great substitute for an evening cup of tea, and without caffeine.

But in the kitchen of modern young people there is no place for boxes of children’s tea «Malyutka». The brand needs something more suitable to increase sales.

The company decides to launch a separate line of herbal teas for young people aged 25-35 who, after a busy day, go to bed, drink herbal tea and read a book. With a new line of tea, the company wants to show that it understands the problems and fatigue of these people and is ready to help them with its new product.

The brand came with an order to draw an illustration for this new packaging.

This is the final packaging layout.

I used the client’s brand colors + a light lilac background from the same range as the brand purple, as well as white as another color for plants, which, in particular, helps to identify daisies, and also creates integrity with white information plates. The dog character contrasts in color with the background, which allows you to concentrate on her relaxed emotion.

All plants are stylized according to real tea ingredients — chamomile, mint, thyme, fennel.
The impressions from the illustration and the packaging as a whole are calmness, tranquility, relaxation.
Plant motifs are stylized, for the most part they consist of simple figures, without sharp elements, only smoothness and roundness.
The layout is ready for printing, there are bleeds around the printable area.
